Shillong, Oct 11: PFR Academy and Sanmer SC won their respective matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division at Polo Ground here today.
In Group B, PFR blanked Mawshbuit SC 2-0 thanks to goals from Fleming Suting (44′) and Andy Suting (55′) at First Ground.
Later, at the same venue but in Group C, the game between Umpling SC and Lumparing SC ended 2-2. Both sides held the lead for some time before having to share points.
Umpling struck first via Klinton Roy Mylliem Umlong (5′) but Gilbert Nongneng then equalised for Lumparing in the 10th minute before giving his side the lead in the 22nd. Donbok Sing L Lyngkhoi then produced the equaliser for Umpling in the 80th minute.
Over at Third Ground, Sanmer squeezed Mylliem Lum SC in a 2-1 win, also in Group C. Babitdor Dorphang (47′, 73′) scored for Sanmer on either side of Michael Kurbah’s 71st minute goal for Mylliem Lum.
