Shillong, Nov 10: A brace by Elias Nongsiej gave Mylliem Lum SC a 2-0 victory over Nongmensong SC in the third quarterfinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Nongsiej scored in the 20th and 57th minutes, enabling his side to join PFR Football Academy and Meghalaya Police in the semifinals.
Mylliem Lum had reached the knockouts by topping Group C with three wins and one defeat, while Nongmensong were runners-up in Group A with three victories, one draw and one loss.
Tomorrow will see the semifinal line-up confirmed as Tynring SC and Nongkseh SC meet in the fourth and last quarterfinal at the same venue from 2PM.
