Shillong, Dec 8: Pohkseh SC finished off their last group engagement by winning against Smit SC 1-0 in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The result gives Pohkseh 16 points from six games and they are guaranteed to finish in top spot in Group B when the other fixtures conclude. Pohkseh are the only unbeaten team in the competition. Today, their winning goal was scored by Reinjoywell Wartde in the 47th minute.
Earlier, Jongksha SC defeated Marbisu SC 2-1 in Group A. The result takes Jongksha to fourth in the standings, behind Nongkrem SC on head-to-head.
Jopborlang Khongsngi (60′, 73′) produced a brace for Jongksha, while Seiborlang Nongbri (69′) found the back of the net for Marbisu.
