Shillong, Jan 23: Lawsohtun SC picked up 3 points by pipping Laitkor SC 1-0 in their Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2023 match at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Rangdajied Rynjah was the only scorer and he found the back of the net in the 77th minute.
This result brings an end to Laitkor’s winning streak that lasted all of two games. Laitkor are the first team to have played three matches, meaning that they are halfway through the round robin stage already.
For Lawsohtun, who were playing their second game, this was their first win after drawing 2-2 with Mawkhar in their opener.
The next match is scheduled to be between Nongrim Hills SC and Mylliem SC.
