Shillong, Mar 12: Lumpyngngad SCC won the final of the Shillong Cricket League’s First Division against Donkin SC by 61 runs at Polo Ground yesterday.
Chasing a target of 220 to win, Donkin were all out for 158 in 33.1 overs.
Earlier, Lumpyngngad batted first after winning the toss and posted 219/8 in 40 overs. Vishal Kr Balmiki top-scored with 66 from 82 deliveries, while Raja Kr Balmiki made 40 from 37.
Marcus Bhujel returned the best figures for the bowling side – 2/39 in 8 overs.
After his batting heroics, Vishal bowled 8 overs for 2/18, while Parveen Katty netted 2/22 in 7. Baremdor Lyting was the top scorer for Donkin with 24 from 29 balls.
Vishal was named Player of the Final.
