Shillong, Apr 17: It isn’t everyday that a World Cup winner takes note of a boy playing backyard football in Mawryngkneng but that’s exactly what happened to 6-year-old Samborlang Rynjah.
An Instagram video of him was shared on Martinez’s story and that led to it exploding on the internet.
The soft spoken youngster demonstrated some great goalkeeping skills and cited Martinez as a role model.
The Argentine was crucial in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup when his team defeated France to lift the trophy.
Numerous appreciative comments were left on the Instagram video and the longer YouTube feature on Samborlang with viewers hoping that he gets to fulfil his football dreams. TSR hopes he does too.
