Shillong, Jul 11: A talent hunt programme will be organised under the Khelo India Rising Talent Hunt (KIRTI-MyBharat) where youngsters will be assessed and given a chance to train at state of the art sports facilities in the country.
The assessment in three disciplines – athletics, archery and football – will be made on 12th and 13th July 2024 at the Maharam Government Higher Secondary School in Mawkyrwat open to athletes from South West Khasi Hills.
Registration for the talent hunt will be from 9:30AM to 1PM and evaluation will take place until 6PM on both days.
The assessment will feature physical fitness tests on scientific lines and sports-specific tests based on skill tailored to evaluate the potential in athletes of all ages, a press release stated yesterday.
