Shillong, Jul 28: Meghalaya had a disappointing start to their Junior Boys National Football Championship (Tier 1) 2024 campaign for the BC Roy Trophy by losing to Chandigarh in their opener 1-0.
Hipjyoti Moran scored the only goal of the Group C game in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh.
The other two teams in the group are Punjab and Karnataka and Meghalaya, led by coach Lekini Suting, will face Punjab on 30th July.
Punjab had defeated Karnataka 3-1 earlier today.
