Shillong, Oct 17: The East Jaintia Hills District Football Association concluded its Second Division and Third Division tournaments for 2024 at the Diengshynrum Artificial Turf in Khliehriat yesterday.
Musniang SC (featured photo) defeated Sutnga Mission SSCC in the Second Division final 3-1 after Dkhiah West SC (pictured below) pipped Lumshnong YWSC 1-0 in the Third Division title match.
Nevermind Kya was the scorer for Dkhiah West, finding the back of the net in the 34th minute. Justin Niang of Lumshnong was the Player of the Final.
Later, Mardi Rymbai struck twice in the 23rd and 69th minutes, while Fourki Rymbai added another in the 74th for Musniang. Interest Pajuh scored Sutnga Mission’s only goal in the 32nd minute. Mardi was named Player of the Final.
The Player of the Tournament award in the Second Division was bestowed on Heimonmi Dkhar of Musniang, while that of the Third Division went to Coming Dkhar of Tuber Kmaishnong CSC.
The Best Goalkeeper in the Second Division was Commander Bareh of Lad Rymbai Dongwah SC, while that of the Third Division was Wadphang Phawa of Dkhiah West.
