Shillong, Oct 22: Pohkseh SC and Malki SC won their respective matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2024 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Pohkseh won 2-0 against Nongrah SC in the first match before Malki came from a goal down to win 3-1 versus Sohryngkham SC.
These were Pohkseh’s first goals in three matches and were scored by Mickyson Roy Tangsong (85′) and Reinjoywel Wartde (87′) late in the game.
Later, Jefferson Kharbuli (37′) nudged Sohryngkham in front before Korbar Nongspung (41′) equalised a few minutes later. Fashioning Syngkli then struck a brace with goals in the 73rd and 81st minutes to carry Malki to victory. This was the first time this season that a team has overturned a deficit to win.
