Shillong, Dec 12: Smit SC and Lumparing SC won their respective matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s 3rd Women’s Football League 2024 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Lumparing first pipped Rangdajied United FC 1-0 with a goal in the 37th minute of the 70-minute match by Fragrancy Riwan.
Later, Smit walloped Nongrim Hills SC 7-0 with four goals by Makrisha Songthiang (10′, 14′, 31′, 63′) one from Manita Khongsit (17′) and a brace by Rushia Dkhar (33′, 48′).
These two matches were both in Group B.
In between there was a Group A fixture contested by Madanrting SC and Kharang SC and this ended in a goalless draw.
