Shillong, Jan 16: Nongtraw Wahlong FC defeated Synroplang FC 3-0 in the third match of the 1st Invitational Football Knockout Tournament 2024-2025, organised by the Seng Samla Mawmluh Smit, on Tuesday.
Nongtraw Wahlong dominated from the very beginning of the match but only had one goal to show for their efforts in the first half, which was scored by Aiban Dohling in the 40th minute.
Kitboklang Pale then doubled the lead in the 76th and Jeff Pakyntein added another in the 79th to make the win a comprehensive one and end Synroplang’s hopes.
Kitboklang was named Player of the Match.
The fourth fixture will be on 29th January between Nongrim Hills SC and Meghalaya Police.
