Shillong, Feb 10: Nongmensong CC defeated Royal CC by 49 runs in Group A of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, here today.
Royal won the toss and chose to field first. They bowled out Nongmensong for 203 in 40.4 overs, with Abhishek Kumar putting in a stunning bowling performance to claim 7/31 in 9 overs. Nongmensong’s Arpit Bhatewara top-scored with a fine 86 from 94 balls.
In reply, Raj Biswa batted brilliantly for his 65 from 55 deliveries and Dippu Sangma contributed a handy 32 from 41 but Royal were dismissed for just 154 in 34.3 overs.
Ram bagged 3/23 in 9 overs and was adjudged Player of the Match.
Tomorrow Lumpyngad SCC will take on United XI at 8:30AM.
