Shillong, Feb 17: Raj Bhavan CC defeated NFU by six wickets in their Group B match of the of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, here yesterday.
NFU won the toss and elected to bat but struggled to get going and scored at under 4 an over before being dismissed for 159 in 43 overs. Ayushman Das struck 37 from 72 deliveries, while Shubham Rasaily made 28 from 56. Andrew Ropmay returned the best figures of 4/43 in 9 overs, while Arbin Singh took 3/33 in 9.
Raj Bhavan then reached the target in 35 overs for the loss of four wickets. Joydeepan Deb was not out at the end with 54 from 61 deliveries while Andrew had contributed 53 from 66. Andrew (pictured) was named Player of the Match for his bowling and batting.
The next match will take place on Tuesday in Group A between Sporting CC and Sputnik Spartan CC from 8:30AM.
