Shillong, Feb 18: Royal Challengers Mawsynram reached the final of the 5th Mawten Invitation T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 by beating Nongstoin United by eight wickets in the second semifinal yesterday.

Nongstoin Utd won teh toss and chose to bat first but could only make 123/9 in 20 overs, with Bankitbok Wanniang’s 27 being the high score. Sandy Kharshandi and Sando Rapsang took three and two wickets respectively.

In reply, Royal Challengers Mawsynram lost only two wickets in a comfortable chase that only required 12.5 overs. Sylvester Mylliempdah (pictured) and Kiewkupar Dksiar were the stars of the show, scoring 52 and 30 runs respectively. Sylvester’s impressive performance was enough to earn him the Player of the Match award.

Royal Challengers will now face Mawten SC in the final on 26th February for the coveted trophy. Mawten had beaten Lion King CC in the first semifinal over the weekend.
