Shillong, Jun 10: Kilco R Marak has called time on his career representing the Meghalaya state team, the Meghalaya Cricket Association said in a press release today.

An ever popular member of the senior men’s side, Kilco made his debut in the 2019-20 domestic season when he took 3/25 against Puducherry in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 9th November 2019.

In all he bagged 13 wickets in 19 SMAT matches, the last of which was in October 2023. Those debut figures against Puducherry would be his best throughout and he finished with an average of 20.92 and strike rate of 15.60.

The 32-year-old Kilco also featured in two first-class Ranji Trophy matches in 2021-22 against Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and was in the squad for the one day Vijay Hazare Trophy that season, though he did not make it into the playing XI.

The MCA family wished him all the best for his future endeavours and thanked him for his service to the state, the release added.
