Shillong, Aug 25: The Shillong Sports Association has adjusted the remaining fixtures of its Second Division 2025.
The changes were spelled out in a notification dated 22nd August but shared with the press on Sunday.
In the original fixtures, the newly relaid MFA Turf at Third Ground was to be the site of several matches. However, in the revised schedule, only one Group C match will be held at that ground.
No reasons was specified for the change but perhaps Third Ground isn’t quite ready to host football again or is required for other tournaments.
The Group A schedule also has to accommodate the Mylliem Lum vs Lumshyiap match that had to be abandoned due to a waterlogged SSA Stadium pitch on 19th August. This rescheduled fixture will take place on 2nd September.
Today there is only one match in the Second Division, between Lumshyiap and Mawpat at 11:15AM.
