Shillong, Aug 27: Mylliem Lum battled from a goal down to win 2-1 against Jongksha in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The other match, in Group C, saw Tynring and Mawryngkneng play out a 2-2 draw.
Jongksha took the lead through Wanlambok Kharumnuid (24′) only for Shaiborlang Kharkrang (42′) and Sbinstar Jana (45′) to score twice in the space of a few minutes for Mylliem Lum before half time.
Later, both Tynring and Mawryngkneng held the lead at different stages of the match.
Mawryngkneng scored first in the 23rd minute via Wanbha War but Jesleyroy Mylliempdah (34′) equalised for Tynring a little more than 10 minutes later.
Tynring then took the lead early in the second half through Torilang Wanniang (54′) and they had almost bagged full points until Rishot Sari (90’+5) equalised at the death for Mawryngkneng.
