Shillong, Jan 30: Jaguar FC secured their place in the final of the Pongtung Winter Cup 2025-26 with a 3-2 victory over Jonghih yesterday at the Pongtung Mini Stadium.
Kevin Rymbai scored a brace of goals while Denelson Pyngrope added another. Kynsaibor Lhuid assisted both of Kevin’s goals.
For Jonghih, Pynbha Suting found the back of the net twice and he was named Player of the Match.
The second semifinal will be held on 2nd February between Khimusniang of Jowai and Nongthymmai of Shillong.
The winners of that match will face Jaguar in the final for the title and Rs 2 lakh in prize money. The runners-up will receive Rs 1 lakh.
