Shillong, Jun 14: Laitlyngkot were staring at a two-goal deficit but turned things around brilliantly to win 3-2 against Gorkha Association in Group F of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2026 here on Saturday.

Nikhil W Sangma (7′, 30′) struck twice in the first half an hour at the SSA Stadium but Laitlyngkot reduced the margin before half time through Ericson Kharumnuid (35′) before completing the comeback early in the second half thanks to Damebanker Nongkynrih (42′) and Nangtei Rynjah (44′). Matches in the Fourth Division are of 80 minutes’ duration.

Later, Iaitylli confirmed first place in the group by beating Iateilang 4-1.

Kitbok Muskut (28′, 33′, 62′) produced a hat-trick with Pynsuklang providing the fourth goal. Teiborlang Kharsahnoh (40′) scored Iateilang’s lone goal.

Iatylli have a full 12 points from four games, while Iateilang finished at the bottom with 1 point. Laitlyngkot (6 points) jumped up to provisional second with the win against Gorkha Association (4).

The last group stage match on Monday between Pommura and Laitlyngkot has been rescheduled and will now be held on Wednesday at 4PM at the SSA Stadium. The change is due to the North East India Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition 2026 and the traffic restrictions put in place for the event by the police.
