Shillong, Jul 24: Monyul FC won the Arunachal Women’s League 2026 football tournament recently and had within their ranks Meghalaya’s own Saviinity Jyndiang.
There were five teams in the league and Monyul claimed the trophy from second-placed Kurung Kumey DFA.
Saviinity has experienced statewide success before, having been part of the Jakrem SC team that won the inaugural Meghalaya Women’s State League last year.
In addition, she won the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League with Mawlai SC in 2023 and Lumparing SC in 2025.
Saviinity also represented the Meghalaya senior women’s team in the past and, away from football, has found success in local athletics – she took two silver medals at the 5th Meghalaya Games in 2024 for West Khasi Hills in the 100m and long jump.
