Shillong, Sep 8: The West Jaintia District Sports Association elected its new office bearers for the 2026-2029 term at its annual general meeting held at the Indoor Sports Hall, Dongmihsngi, on 1st September.
The new executive body will be headed by the Deputy Commissioner as ex-officio President, while EMH Passah was elected Working President.
T Ram Phawa and Cheini Niangty were elected as Vice-Presidents and Ryum T Khonglah will serve as Honorary General Secretary, with Supply H Dkhar and Monlang Nongtdu as Joint Secretaries.
Tyrchainmitre Lipon was elected Treasurer, while Amity Tongper will serve as Football Secretary and Mayalang Lanong as Assistant Football Secretary.
The other office bearers are Marso Kyndait (Athletics Secretary), Arkiyo Passah (Indoor Secretary) and Heibor Pariat (Archery Secretary).
Lammat-oo Laloo and Junemon Pasweth were appointed as Advisers and Orilan Shylla and R Piky Suwer were elected auditors.
The Executive Council members are Teddy Laloo, Freddy Lakiang, Chanki Lhuid, Famous Plain, Emonlang Lipon, Ram Kyndait and Manbha Ryngkhlem.
