Shillong, Nov 13: Shillong Lajong FC defeated United Chirang Duar FC 5-0 yesterday in the OIL-DFA All India U-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament 2023.
The tournament is being held in Duliajan, Assam.
Nihaar Manorama scored a brace and Badondor Marbaniang, Samchaphrang Lato and Banlamkupar Rynjah netted one each.
Manoram was named Player of the Match.
Lajong’s next match will be against Steel Authority of India Ltd (Bokaro) on Tuesday.
Another Shillong-based team is also taking part, PFR Football Academy, whose first match will be held today.
