Shillong, Sep 8: Mawryngkneng required penalties to defeat Madan SCC 4-3 in the fourth quarterfinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
After 90 minutes the match was tied at 1-1. Rapbor Pyngrope (15′) had scored first for Mawryngkneng before Adrian Sawian (70′) equalised in the second half for Madan.
Matches in the quarterfinals go straight to a tiebreaker when the score is tied after 90 minute and here Mawryngkneng held off Madan to win 4-3.
The two semifinals will take place on 14th and 15th September, both at the SSA Stadium and both beginning at 2:45PM.
The first will be between Mawpat and Smit and the second will see Sohryngkham face Mawryngkneng. The final will take place on 19th September.
Meanwhile, the Shillong Premier League 2026 will return tomorrow with Mylliem taking on Shillong Lajong at the slightly earlier than scheduled time of 3:30PM.
