Shillong, Jul 3: The Third Division began today at Second Ground, Polo, with three matches in Group A taking place.
In the first Umpling blanked Risa Colony 4-0 with goals from T Kharpuri (2’), S Wanshong (35’, 70’) and J Jyrwa (36’).
The second match was a 1-1 draw between Lumdiengjri (A Warjri, 69’) and Lamlynti (K Shabong, 13’).
The third game of the day saw Krang defeat Umphrup 2-0 with goals from S Kurkalang (43’) and W Kyrsian (44’).
There are 24 participating teams divided into four groups of six.
Tomorrow, in Group B, Mawtawar will take on Nongkseh at 12:30PM, Young XI will face Mawshbuit at 2PM and Mawnianglah will play Pohkseh at 4PM. All matches will be held at Second Ground.
