Shillong, Aug 21: Rangdajied United and Nongrim Hills played out a goalless draw in the second match of the Shillong Premier League 2019 at the JN Stadium here today.
It would have been a disappointing result for Rangdajied given that they were the more experienced team, but at least they were spared embarrassment by not losing the fixture.
Despite warming up with his team mates Aiborlang Khongjee was not in the Rangdajied squad, possibly because of an All India Football Federation bureaucratic requirement as part of his transfer that wasn’t completed before kick-off.
Both teams were guilty of wasted chances and very poor passing. Possibly the top highlight came in the 14th minute when Rangdajied almost conceded an own goal when the ball came back off a defender after Nongrim attacked.
Tomorrow Shillong Lajong are scheduled to face Nangkiew Irat at 3:30PM.
