Shillong, Sep 15: Meghalaya will come home with five medals from the 31st East Zone Junior Athletics Championship, which was held in Ranchi.
Skhemlang Suba won gold in the U-18 boys’ 1,500m race, while Primus Ronghi took silver in the U-16 boys’ high jump.
Marso Kyndait claimed two bronze medals in the U-20 men’s 1,500m and 800m races, while another bronze was earned by Rinalis Ingti in the U-16 girls’ high jump.
Suba, Ronghi and Ingti are all from Ri-Bhoi, while Kyndait is from West Jaintia Hills.
