Shillong, Mar 30: Rain prevented enough overs to be played in the Shillong Cricket Association’s Third Division final today, with both finalists – Jersey Kings and Raj Bhavan – thus being named as joint winners.

The day began with Jersey Kings making 122/9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Vishal Sunar scoring 49 off 44 deliveries and Vickey Das 22 off 21. Tarak Sinha (3/14) and Sunil Yadav (3/21) returned the best figures.

Raj Bhavan lost three early wickets and were poised on 16/3 in three overs when rain prevented another ball being bowled. The match was therefore abandoned and the two teams were declared joint champions.
