Shillong, Sep 24: Shillong Labet (pictured) and Tyllilang had similar, if a little different, days in the 5X5 Basketball Championship in Siliguri today.
Shillong Labet had just the one match but came through as 37-19 victors. The team will have two games tomorrow – versus Kolkata Hoopers at 7AM and Kalimpong Girls at 4PM.
Tyllilang, meanwhile, had two fixtures today, losing the first to Gangyap 45-20 before defeating Siliguri Warriors 28-6 later in the day. They will have one more group match tomorrow which will be a must-win contest in order to reach the semifinals.
The tournament has been organised by the Himalayan International Residential School in collaboration with Hoopsters Club and will run until Sunday.
