Shillong, Apr 13: Nongthymmai pipped Lawsohtun 1-0 in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Iohbor Nonglyer scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute. This was the first goal Nongthymmai have scored in the first half this season.
This is also the third consecutive 1-0 result we have had in the First Division.
With this win, Nongthymmai reclaimed second place in the provisional points table. They now have 9 points, tied with Sawmer but the latter are in front on head-to-head and goal difference. Lawsohtun remain fourth with 5 points, two behind Umphyrnai.
