Shillong, Mar 1: Nongdawah CC and Hurdles CC won their respective matches on the 15th day of the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 2nd District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2023 today.
In the first encounter, Marbisu CC won the toss and chose to bat first but were bundled out for 90 in their 20 overs, with a top score of 26 by Mansuk M Kurbah. Nangshai Nongpluh scalped 4/13.
In reply, Nongdawah pummelled their way to 91/4 in 9.2 overs, with Player of the Match Nangshai hitting 35 from 22 balls for a terrific all-round performance.
Later, Hurdles won the toss and batted first against Pomshutia CC. They amassed 170/8 in 20 overs, with Pynshaitbor Girodh’s 40 off 32 balls the high score, while Shembhalang Pyngrope bagged 3/17.
Pomshutia were restricted to 120/7 despite Pyngrope’s 59 from 53. Shrimonto Hajong (3/2) and Girodh (3/10) were the pick of the bowlers and the latter was named Player of the Match.
