Shillong, Oct 4: The BCCI’s National Cricket Academy conducted an onsite practical assessment for Meghalaya Cricket Association trainees of the ongoing Hybrid Level 1 Coaches Course here yesterday.
The course, at the MCA Cricket Ground, Polo, was conducted by NCA Head of Education Sujith Somasundar, Master Faculty Apurva Desai and Faculty member M Sanjay.
MCA Technical Committee member (and former Treasurer) Saibal Dasgupta was present to formally open the course and felicitate the NCA faculty.
Sixteen trainees attended the course coming from the many district associations affiliated to the MCA. The results are expected later this month.
The practical assessment is part of the Level 1 Coaches Course examination, which was due after the online theory assessment that was conducted from 25th to 30th October last year.
The faculty from the NCA appreciated and applauded the MCA for the facilities that are taking cricket development in Meghalaya forwards. They also appreciated the panel of coaches the MCA has and said that more clinics and workshops will enable the coaches to progress and achieve their full potential.
