Shillong, Aug 26: Mawkasiang SC, Nongkolew SC and Lamlynti SC of Madanlyngkhi picked up 3 points each with victories in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
The big result was for Lamlynti, who trounced Umsohsun 4-1 in Group C.
Meanwhile, the two Group B matches saw Mawkasiang SC edge Mawphlang SC 1-0 and Nongkolew SC beat Mawreng SC 2-1.
Lamlynti are leading the way in Group C with 9 points and have scored 9 goals while only conceding 1. Today, they scored through Riboklang Kharbuki (26′, 70′), Batskhem Thongnirit (50′) and Pyrkhat Janai Kharkongor (58′), while Umsohsun’s only goal was via Jeryson Nongspung (70′).
Earlier, Mawkasiang’s goal was an early one and was provided by Donald Roy Suting (9′).
In the other match of the day, Ebormi Suting registered a brace for Nongkolew, scoring in the 11th and 49th minutes, with Banshailang Kurbah (50′) reducing the deficit for Mawreng just a minute later.
