Shillong, Jan 11: Goals at either end of an enthralling match saw Mawkhar SC and Lawsohtun SC share points in a 2-2 draw in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Relegated from last season’s Shillong Premier League, Mawkhar started their First Division campaign with a bang with two goals in the opening five minutes through Leversharp Syiemlieh (3′) and Pynshailang Dkhar (5′).
However, Lawsohtun found a way back right at the end of the game, first scoring through Peter Lyngdoh (82′) before Dibastar Rani equalised in stoppage time.
The next match is scheduled for Saturday between Nongrim Hills SC and Umphyrnai SC at 2:15PM.
