Shillong, Nov 29: The Meghalaya table tennis players in the 60-plus age category reached the final of the North East Masters Table Tennis Tournament 2024 in Kohima, it was informed yesterday.
After a colourful opening ceremony, the Meghalaya team – comprising Santanu Ghosh, H Singha and RB Das – first defeated Arunachal Pradesh 3-1 and Nagaland 3-0 to reach the semifinals where they defeated Manipur 3-0.
However, the Meghalaya 50-year-plus team could not qualify for the semifinals as they lost to Nagaland and Assam both by 3-0 margins.
