Shillong, Sep 9: Laitkyrhong were unstoppable in a 6-0 victory against Nongmensong in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here yesterday.
Samuel Suting (40′) and Samboklang Kurkalang (45’+2) scored in the first half but Laitkyrhong weren’t done yet as they added a further four in the second half.
These goals were scored by Banshaibok Khongsngi (57′), Banrihok Rynjah (70′) and Deibanrap Kharumnuid (78′, 82′).
Nongmensong had drawn all three of their previous games 1-1 and this was their last match of the season.
Laitkyrhong retook first place in the standings with this victory. They’ll face second-placed Smit on 11th September, while Umphyrnai and Marbisu will meet on 13th September.
