Shillong, Nov 20: The Top 4 of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2025 was settled yesterday following the conclusion of the last group stage matches in Khliehriat.
Diengshynrum SC climbed to second place with a 1-0 victory against Thangskai Tiger SC, courtesy a 60th minute goal from Rumi Lyngdoh.
Sutnga SSCC, meanwhile, confirmed their top position by edging Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC 1-0 through a late goal from Sauni Phawa (85′).
Sutnga had already done enough even before yesterday to lock in first place but stamped their authority on the season with a sixth win. They finished the round robin stage with 18 points.
Diengshynrum’s win lifted them from fourth to second place with 14 points while Shilliang Umshong SC (13) dropped to third and R Shkenshynriah (12) to fourth.
Dhana CSC and Ladrymbai B SC will be relegated to next season’s First Division as the two bottom teams this year.
Thangskai Tiger (the Super Division 2024 winners) and Chiehruphi SYWSC are safe for another season but will not progress to this year’s playoffs.
The EJHDFA will intimate the dates of the knockout matches in due course.
