Shillong, Sep 10: Mawkriah West defeated Lumshyiap 2-0 in a dead rubber to conclude their campaign in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 at the MFA Ground here today.
This match was the last of the Relegation Zone and it was played for pride alone as it was already confirmed before today that both would be relegated as they had each suffered defeats to Jongksha (who are therefore safe for next season).
In the match, Honour Lucky Nongbri scored a quick brace in the 76th and 77th minutes.
The Second Division semifinals will take place next week. The first game will be between Mawpat and Smit on Monday, followed by Sohryngkham versus Mawryngkneng on Tuesday. Both games will take place at the SSA Stadium and kick off at 2:45PM.
