Shillong, Sep 22: Mawkhar came from a goal down to beat Nongrim Hills 2-1 in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Pyrkhatjanai Kharkongor (54′) put Nongrim Hills into the lead in the second half but Mawkhar overturned the result in the last 10 minutes of the game.
First Mackiven Shyrkon (80′) equalised before Bobisterfield Marngar (84′) handed the lead to Mawkhar, which they held on to until the final whistle.
This was Mawkhar’s opening match of the season while Nongrim Hills had been involved before, on 18th September, when they lost to Ryntih 3-2.
