Shillong, Oct 1: Wellborn Pyngrope scored a brace to give Pohkseh a 2-1 win against Ryntih in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Wellborn scored in the 18th and 90th minutes, sandwiching Josaiah Sungoh’s 56th minute goal for Ryntih.
Before kick-off, a solemn minute’s silence was observed for Banteilang Wahlang, a young footballer from the SSA leagues who died yesterday.
This was Pohkseh’s first win and it took them off the bottom of the table. They are now third with 4 points. Ryntih have 3 points and dropped to fourth place.
