Shillong, Aug 3: After playing all their previous games against fellow teams in their respective conferences (or groups), the Meghalaya Baby League (MBL) 2018 teams will now get to face teams in an inter-conference day tomorrow.
Twenty-five matches will be held at three venues – Third Ground, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the Futsal Ground – at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex between 10 teams.
MBL 2018 is the joint initiative of Tata Trusts, the Meghalaya Football Association and All India Football Federation.
The 12 participating teams in MBL 2018 have been divided into two conferences. Kickstart FCC Rhinos, Langsning Greenergy Lions, Mawlatbah SC Hawks, ENE Falcons, Unified Gorkha Gators and Little Star Clouded Leopards are in the Western Conference, while Sunnydale School Doves, Touchline NE Cubs, Nongthymmai GC Scorpions, Nongtrai Cheetahs, Wahlakhiat Bulls and JNS Jaguars are in the Eastern Conference.
Tomorrow the Falcons will take on the Jaguars starting at 9:30AM. The Rhinos vs Cheetahs games and those between the Clouded Leopards and the Doves will then both kick off at 12:30PM.
The Bulls will then have the tough task to play against the unbeaten Greenergy Lions from 12:50PM, which is the same time that the Scorpions take on the Hawks.
