Shillong, Jun 17: A Meghalaya team, sent by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association, bagged two silver and one bronze medal at the recently-concluded Karate Association of India Sub-Junior and Senior National Karate Championship in New Delhi.
The tournament ran from 10th to 13th June.
Meghalaya’s two silver medallists were Daniel Dabiangbha Warjri, in the boys’ 10 years +35kg individual kumite, and Lakhon Lanong, in the boys’ 12 years individual kata.
The bronze was claimed by Bandana Wahlang in the women’s +68kg individual kumite.
The team was led by Donboklang Lyngdoh, Arjun Sewa and Linza F Syiem.
