Shillong, Jul 1: Oresterwell Langshiang (pictured No 7) and Donboklang Mawlong scored a brace each as Rangdajied United beat Marbisu 4-0 in the U-18 Shillong Premier League at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Langshiang bookended proceedings with goals in the 20th and 69th minutes, the last being a delicious shot from just outside the box, while Mawlong scored in the 39th and 47th minutes. Langshiang now has nine goals to his name this season, easily putting him at the front of the race for the top scorer.
RUFC were fast, displayed some good teamwork and strategy and found their way past Marbisu on several occasions, which puts them in good stead to challenge for a top two spot.
Rangdajied remain in fourth place for now but have 19 points after nine games. They have also now scored more goals than any other side with 32. Marbisu, meanwhile, remain in seventh place.
There will be just the one game tomorrow with sixth-placed Nangkiew Irat scheduled to face third-placed Mawkhar at 3:45PM at Third Ground.
