Shillong, Aug 29: Nangkiew Irat and Langsning played out a goalless draw in the Shillong Premier League at the JN Stadium here today.
Both sides earned three points from their respective opening matches and were looking for another win to put them at the top of the standings.
However, despite the fast-paced action throughout and competitive play from both sides, there was no way through.
Langsning hit the woodwork three times in the game and would’ve felt a little unlucky; Banteilang Lyngdoh in the 26th minute, Donborlang Nongkynrih in the 61st and Kynsaibor Lhuid in the 80th.
Nangkiew relied on Damehun Syih and Roikhihbha Nongtdu to provide the bulk of their chances. There were a couple of opportunities for Nangkiew, but both Syih and Nongtdu were off target.
On Monday Shillong Lajong are scheduled to face Laban at 3:30PM
