Shillong, Jan 21: Mizoram ran riot over Meghalaya in their Group B encounter in the Dr T Ao Trophy 2020 in Kohima today.
Mizoram scored three goals on either side of half time to romp to a 6-0 victory, delivering a shocking blow to Meghalaya’s campaign.
The IG Stadium in Kohima was blanketed by dense fog for part of the match, but if that negatively affected Meghalaya’s game, it certainly didn’t for their opponents.
Meghalaya will next take on Sikkim on 23rd January. Anything less than a victory and they will probably be on their way out of the tournament.
