Shillong, Apr 09: Rahjingshai defeated Arka FC 3-2 on penalties in the final of the Confederation of Ri-Bhoi People (CORP) Women’s Wing Umden Mission Unit’s football tournament today.
A tiebreaker was required after full time in the final ended 1-1. Riba Kharshiing had scored the opening goal for Rahjingshai in the 10th minute but this was cancelled out in the second half by Sanfida Nongrum of Arka.
The tournament was organised through the efforts of CORP Women’s Wing unit President, Iadalang Kurbah and Sports Secretary Jynnisha Kharthangmaw.
Present on the final day were senior CORP members, Bandari Ryntathiang, Phrangkupar Sohtun, Johny Fast Lakhiat, Karbiius Lyngdoh, among others.
