Shillong, May 3: The members of the Meghalaya Table Tennis Association have condoled the death of Neha Sinha, a state-ranked paddler.

Sinha, daughter of Harendra Sinha, passed away in Bangalore recently.

She had represented Meghalaya at various national tournaments in the country over several years.

“We pray to God Almighty to give strength and solace to the bereaved family. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” the MTTA said on its Facebook page.

Tributes were also paid by several others.

“Great loss to the family and the state as a whole. My deepest condolences to Mr Sinha and his family through this very tough phase in their life. May God grant them courage and solace to overcome this loss. May her soul rest in peace,” Meghalaya Cricket Association Honorary Secretary Gideon Kharkongor said.

Saibal Dasgupta, of the MTTA and MCA, wrote, “Shocking to say the least. May the Almighty grant strength and solace to the family in this dark hour. TT family deeply condoles this tragic loss. RIP Neha in the arms of the Almighty.”
