Shillong, Oct 6: Two martial artists from the Ferdy School of Martial Arts (The Revolution MMA) have won medals for Meghalaya at the 6th National Jeet Kune Do Championship for sub-juniors, juniors and seniors in New Delhi recently.
The championship ran from 2nd to 3rd October.
Obadaïa Kelphung, of Saitsama in West Jaintia Hills, won gold in the full contact -52kg in the senior men’s category, while Fedrick Khongsit, of Laitkor Nongdaneng in East Khasi Hills, took silver in the full contact -48kg senior men’s category.
Khongsit had won gold in a Guwahati event last month.
Ferdinand Suchiang of the Ferdy School of Martial Arts thanked the medallists’ families, the Meghalaya Jeet Kune Do Association and Donny Ranee for their support.
