Shillong, Oct 7: Diliengiem went to the top of Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Fourth Division with a 2-1 victory over Mawphlang at Second Ground, Polo, today.
Wankitboklang L Peinlang scored in only the fourth minute for Diliengiem but this was cancelled out six minutes later by Nangteiboklang Kharsohnoh’s equaliser.
Honourable Kharmyndai, however, managed to restore Diliengiem’s lead in the 46th minute of the 70-minute match.
With today’s match Group A has concluded its first round of matches. Diliengiem lead with three points, while Pomlakrai and Mawnianglah (who had played out a 1-1 draw in the season opener on 2nd October) are joint second with one point each.
