Shillong, Feb 3: Banpynkhrawnam Nongkhlaw has signed for Kenkre FC, the defender announced on social media.
The Mumbai-based club are playing in their first I-League season this year. After a two-month Covid-enforced break, the I-League will resume in March.
The 24-year-old had previously played in the I-League for Churchill Brothers, which he was with for two seasons. He made nine appearances for the Goan outfit in the I-League.
After that Nongkhlaw returned to Shillong to ply his trade with Ryntih in the Shillong Premier League, I-League qualifiers and other tournaments.
On social media, he said that joining Kenkre was a “no-brainer” for him as he gets to play on the national stage again. He thanked his new club for putting their faith in him and pledged to give his best to the team.
